Today, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, presented several initiatives promoted by the Ministry’s Crisis Unit with the aim of raising awareness among Italian nationals on the subject of safe travel abroad, also in view of the upcoming holidays.
Revamped in terms of functions and graphic layout, the Crisis Unit’s application for travellers has a new name (“Viaggiare Sicuri”) and simpler, more intuitive modes of use.
In collaboration with the organised tourism associations (Aidit, Assoviaggi, Astoi, Fiavet, Federazione del Turismo Organizzato and Maavi), the Crisis Unit has also drawn up the document “Dammi il cinque! Le 5 regole per Viaggiare Sicuri” (Give me five! The 5 Rules for Safe Travel), containing important indications on how to properly use the Ministry’s services.
Lastly, the Minister recalled that from 19 December – thanks to an agreement with the Department for Information and Publishing of the Italian Government Presidency of the Council of Ministers – the audiovisual ad created by Alberto Angela to promote ViaggiareSicuri, DoveSiamoNelMelMondo and the new “Viaggiare Sicuri” App will be aired again on the RAI networks.
