Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi has welcomed the positive outcome of the case of the three Italian fishing boats seized near the port of Benghazi. Once the paperwork has been completed, they could head back to Italy within the next 24 hours.
Minister Terzi had been following the case personally since 7 June, the day the boats were seized. He has keep in touch with the Libyan authorities, through the Embassy in Tripoli and our Consulate General in Benghazi, both of which provided constant assistance for the Italian nationals concerned and liaised with their families in Italy.
