We are left speechless by the news of the massacres of civilians in Syria. Especially the attacks in the suburb of Halfaya (Hama) that have caused the death of tens of women and children queuing for bread.
These terrible images are an offence to human sensibility and our concept of civilisation. It is imperative to bring an end to such violence – without delay.
The events in Halfaya and Syria’s other martyred cities makes it even more urgent to find a credible political solution that is in line with the democratic aspirations of the Syrian people.
