Foreign Minister Emma Bonino has sent the following message to the US Secretary of State John Kerry.
“Like all Italians, I was shocked by the news and dramatic images of the tornado that has hit the suburbs of Oklahoma City so violently, causing such a high number of victims. Victims who include so many children from the Plaza Towers elementary school.
A grave and tragic event such as this puts the people of Oklahoma and all the authorities involved to a harsh test. Please accept my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy and solidarity for the relatives of the victims, in the name of the deep friendship that binds our countries. I am sure that, as on other occasions in the past, the United States will address this testing challenge with the courage and efficiency that we have always admired”.
