The Farnesina confirmed that La Stampa correspondent Domenico Quirico made contact with his family today.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to place the highest priority on monitoring developments in the situation in close collaboration with all State institutions concerned, maintaining contact with the journalist and with daily newspaper “La Stampa”.
At this particularly delicate stage all media organs are urged to exercise a sense of responsibility regarding unsubstantiated information and to maintain the strictest reserve in the interests of achieving a positive outcome to the case.
