Regione Autonoma del Kurdistan: incontro Mogherini-Barzani

The political prospects for Kurdistan after the elections in Iraq, the Syrian conflict and bilateral relations were among the topics of discussion in a meeting Minister Mogherini held today in Rome with President of the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan Massoud Barzani. The minister and Kurdish president shared the hope that negotiations involving the various political forces in Iraq would come to a successful conclusion and that a government capable of managing the difficult transition would be formed. Mogherini and Barzani each ensured their respective commitment to further strengthen what are already excellent bilateral economic relations.
