Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni held a meeting today at the Farnesina with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Libya, Bernardino León. Italy reaffirmed its “full and convinced support for the UN’s demanding efforts and the initiatives under way to restore stability in Libya and reopen dialogue between the parties”.
“It is essential that any initiative be based on the principle of the broadest inclusiveness of all segments of Libyan society”, stated Minister Gentiloni.
