The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, received the Libyan Foreign Minister, Mohammed al-Dairi, today 3 February 2015.
“Italy keenly hopes to see all parties in Libya take part in the political dialogue facilitated by the United Nations. We are convinced that an inclusive dialogue open to all parties can ensure a future of peace and development for Libya”, declared Minister Gentiloni.
“Italy’s efforts in Libya are focused on providing full support for the work of Bernardino Leon, the UN Special Representative”, reiterated the Minister.
“I’ve confirmed to Minister al-Dairi that our commitment to stabilisation in Libya is a priority for Italy”, concluded Gentiloni.
