The ambassadors and envoys of the countries listed below, recall the high-level meeting in New York on 02 October 15 which expressed the international community’s strong and unified support for the political agreement to establish a Government of National Accord in Libya.
They underline that the only way to bring peace, security and stability to Libya is through the endorsement of this agreement before 20th October. It will also grant legitimacy to the institutions of the future state of Libya. Any step which jeopardises this agreement is unhelpful.
The ambassadors and envoys call upon all parties to the dialogue to take all necessary steps with the upmost urgency to conclude the consultations on the names of the presidential council and thereby finalize the political package with no further delay.
