RDC: Undersecretary Amendola announces another Congolese child adoption release

Italian vice-minister Amendola has announced that, thanks to a commitment by the Italian Embassy in Kinshasa, the Congolese authorities have officially announced that another group of minors will soon be reunited with families in Italy.

Once the Commission for International Adoptions and the bodies in charge of adoptions have taken rapid action to complete the procedures, the children will be allowed to depart to Italy.

In the past few weeks, such authorisation has allowed other groups of children to join their families in the countries involved. There is still a very limited number of children who, it is hoped, will soon be allowed to travel, following efforts by the Italian Embassy in Kinshasa, which is in close contact with Congolese authorities.
