Earthquake in Central Italy: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry conveys his condolences in a phone call to Minister Gentiloni

The U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, called Italian Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, to convey his condolences to the Government and to express his closeness to the families hit by the earthquake. Mr Kerry said he was deeply struck by the gravity of the death toll and confirmed the willingness of the U.S. Government to meet any cooperation request coming from Italy in the next days and weeks.

During the conversation, Mr Kerry and Mr Gentiloni also took stock of the situation in Libya and of their common commitment to fight terrorism and to bolster the Country’s stabilization process.
