Vice Minister Emanuela Del Re inaugurated at the Fiera del Levante in Bari the travelling installations #2030IsNow and #SDGInAction, which will then be taken from Bari to Teramo, Prato and Cremona, passing through Rome on the occasion of World Food Day on 16th October. The interactive installation #2030IsNow is carried out by the European Commission (DG DEVCO) in partnership with the Directorate General for Development Cooperation of the Foreign Ministry and makes visitors aware of the Sustainable Development Goals, recalling the role that each individual can play in achieving these Goals. The #SDGInAction installation presents, with practical and communicative impact examples, how the Italian Cooperation and its many international, national and local partners work in Italy to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. Finally, the installation invites young people, families and city dwellers to inform themselves and, if they wish, to participate in the numerous activities that these bodies carry out on the national territory in favour of the SDGs.
“The Sustainable Development Objectives of Agenda 2030 are an invitation to work together because we cannot do otherwise. – the Vice Minister stated – “We must be “guided” by our young people, encourage them to act, because they are our future. We are all part of the same project: we are interconnected, linked to each other; what is happening here in Bari today is important and has repercussions elsewhere, halfway around the world”.
“Let’s make the rainbow, which is the symbol of the SDGs, which is so colourful and so full of hope, become part of our daily action. Let’s make the SDGs become a way of thinking: once we acquire this vision and this mindset we could be truly incisive, and our actions could be our future in Italy, in Europe and in the rest of the world”.
