Deputy Minister Di Stefano holds bilateral Consultations with Georgia

This morning, Deputy Minister Manlio Di Stefano received the Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia, Teimuraz Janjalia at the Foreign Ministry.

Among the many topics on the agenda, the fight against Covid-19, the post-pandemic economic recovery, regional issues and cooperation, both bilaterally and in major international fora.

“Italy looks at Georgia as a promising partner with whom we share strategic interests, starting with sectors of growing importance such as energy connectivity, logistics, infrastructure development and renewable energy” – said the Deputy Minister.

“At the same time, together with the European Union and in the framework of the Eastern Partnership, we intend to continue working with Georgia for peace, stability and economic growth in the Caucasus, a region with a great potential” – the Deputy Minister concluded.
