Today, 7 October, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi, and the Chairman of AIAD (Federation of Italian Aerospace, Defence and Security Companies), Mr Guido Crosetto, signed an agreement to start a pilot project aimed at exploring different modalities to bolster Italy’s presence in European defence and space institutions.
The two-month project will allow the Farnesina to develop a better action for promoting Italian candidatures within the context of European institutions through an automated analysis of the existing opportunities, possibly by using specific IT applications too.
The signing of the agreement confirms the excellent cooperation between the Farnesina and AIAD within the Farnesina’s general action framework promoting the internationalisation of Italy’s system in the crucial defence, security and aerospace industry, which also aims to seize new opportunities stemming from the recent adoption, by the 27 European Union member States, of the “Strategic Compass”.
