On the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), dedicated to the topic “Together Always: United in Diversity”, Italy recalls the universality and inviolability of human rights and that they should be ensured to all, without distinction or discrimination.
The fight against all forms of discrimination is an integral part of Italy’s commitment to protect and promote human rights at the international level, starting from the UN, the EU and the EU Council.
The fight against discrimination is essential to building inclusive and peaceful societies where diversity is respected and no one is “left behind”. Inclusive societies shall enable every individual to contribute actively to the growth and development of their community and Country, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
