The Italian Embassy in Tel Aviv has been closely following the legal proceedings involving Tony Lapiccirella, the second Italian activist from the “Handala” vessel of the Freedom Flotilla, who was detained in Israel. Italian diplomats successfully arranged for his departure to be brought forward to today: Lapiccirella is scheduled to leave this afternoon on a flight to Paris, with a connecting flight to Italy later in the evening. Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani expressed his thanks to the staff of the Italian Embassy in Israel for their dedication and efforts.
