The Italian Ambassador to Caracas, Giovanni De Vito, carried out a consular visit today to the Italian national Alberto Trentini, during which he also met another detainee, Mario Burlò. The Ambassador reported to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) that Trentini was in a better condition compared with the previous visit. The visit was carried out within the framework of the political and diplomatic efforts that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani have been pursuing for several months to secure the release of all Italian citizens currently in detention.
