The exhibition “Nuovo Paesaggio – New Landscape” by contemporary artist Quayola opened on 5 May in Doha and will run until 19 July

Organized by the Italian Embassy in Doha and Studio Quayola, in collaboration with Fondazione AGO – Modena Fabbriche Culturali and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture, the project—curated by Claudio Composti – is exhibited in Msheireb, a vibrant neighbourhood in Doha, characterized by modern architecture and cutting-edge design.

Quayola, one of the most internationally renowned and respected contemporary Italian artists, explores the representation of nature through technological innovation in his works. Technology becomes a lens “to explore the tensions between seemingly contrasting pairs: real and artificial, figurative and abstract, old and new.” Using cutting-edge digital tools, the artist turns landscapes and natural phenomena into complex visual representations that enable viewers to identify details otherwise invisible to the human eye.

The exhibition is hosted in “Gallery 3” of M7, the creative industries hub of Qatar Museums, one of Qatar’s leading cultural institutions, always attentive to the most innovative contemporary developments in the arts.

The exhibition – opened by Ambassador Toschi with the participation of the artist, the curator, and representatives of Fondazione AGOModena Fabbriche Culturali – was preceded by a preview visit attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia.
