Task Force for Disputed Minors

Today the Farnesina hosted the second meeting in 2019 of the Task Force for Disputed Minors. The meeting was held at the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and was attended, as is customary, by the senior officials of the Ministry of Justice – the Central Authority designated in compliance with the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction – and of the Ministry of the Interior. As is customary, the technical and operational table reviewed the various delicate cases of minors who have long been missing, continuing not to spare their common efforts to find the children as soon as possible together with the diplomatic and consular offices involved, and bring them back in the arms of their Italian parents. The meeting also expressed satisfaction for the happy ending to the abduction story of a few minors, who were brought back to Italy thanks to the cooperative and profitable joint efforts of the three Ministries involved.
