More than 20,000 euros were collected on the initiative of the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC), the UN base hosted by Italy in Brindisi, as a contribution to the fight against the Coronavirus.
The donations collected by the UNGSC staff have been used to provide devices and personal protective equipment for Perrino Hospital and for the Civil Protection in Brindisi, as well as for the Community of Valencia, which hosts the other headquarters of the Centre. 41 laptops were also donated to the European High School “Fermi-Monticelli” in Brindisi to support distance learning.
