Please be reminded that the 9th Ambassadors Conference will be held at the Foreign Ministry in Rome on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 December, on the topic of “Italian diplomacy’s role in the country’s growth”.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi’s opening speech at 10:15 on 20 December, will followed by an address from President of the Republic Napolitano.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius is scheduled to speak at 11:00 on Friday 21 December, after which he will hold a bilateral meeting with MinisterTerzi to be followed by a press point. Prime Minister Mario Monti will close the sessions at 17:00.
The following press moments are planned:
Thursday 20 December:
- Inaugural session with speeches by Minister Terzi and President of the Republic Napolitano (10:15-11:30)
Friday 21 December:
- Speech by French Foreign Minister Fabius (11:00-11:30)
- Joint press conference with Minister Terzi and Minister Fabius (to follow)

Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation no later than 13:00 on Wednesday 19 December by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.
If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the rear entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Via Macchia della Farnesina – according to the following schedule:
Thursday 20 December:
For the speeches of Minister Terzi and President of the Republic Napolitano

- Journalists: from 9:30 onward
Friday 21 December:
For the speech by French Foreign Minister Fabius

Requests for vehicle satellite positions, accompanied by license plate numbers and vehicle makes as well as drivers’ names, must be submitted by fax to 06-36912122 and 06-36917158 no later than 13:00 on Wednesday 19 December.
