Forty Italian companies at Berlin’s Gruene Woche

Forty Italian companies are participating in the Green Week in Berlin, Germany’s most important trade fair in the agri-food sector with 1750 exhibitors from 60 Countries. From 18 to 27 January, 40 stands will display Italian flagship products. Some of these products come from central Italy, and are on show at “Amatrice and Surroundings”, a stand set up by Mary and Renato, who are still struggling with the post-earthquake situation.

A large number of regional stands, with a numerous presence from Sicily, display typical products mainly consisting of cold meats, cheeses, vegetables pickled in oil, jams and cakes. This year, Finland is the partner country of the Gruene Woche which represents a tradition not only for business representatives but also for Germans. The sale of typical products is also accompanied by performances, music, videos and the projection of images with the aim of reaching out to and capturing the interest of a vaster public.
