Italian Pavilion at Balttour tourism fair in Riga ​

Italian regions showcased their best tourism services at the 26th International Travel Trade Fair “Balttour 2019″ in Riga in the Italian Pavilion, which was set up by the Italian Embassy. The most important tourism fair in the Baltic States, Balttour attracts 30,000 visitors (6,000 of whom are tourism industry professionals), 850 tourist operators from 40 countries and 470 stands.

The Pavilion, which was also organized in association with the Marche Region, “JLK International” SIA (to promote tourist accommodation facilities in the Apulia Region) and “Brunico Kronplatz Turismo”, gave visitors an opportunity to find material and watch films on tourist attractions, thanks also to Italy’s Tourist Board – Enit.  Guests included the Latvian Minister of Culture Dace Melbarde, a number of deputies and other Latvian authorities.

The Marche Region brought along many exhibitors that were featured both at the Italian Pavilion and at the stand of the most porminent Latvian tour operator “TezTour”, with a view to promoting the direct Riga – Ancona charter flight service between June and August. Ambassador Sebastiano Fulci illustrated the beauty of the region as he presented the new air route that will be operated by the Latvian carrier “AirBaltic”. On the sidelines of the fair, the Marche Region, in association with the Embassy and “TezTour”, also made a presentation of the Region’s highlights to local press representatives at a restaurant in Riga.
