The humming Choir from Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Madama Butterfly” as a tribute and thanks for the group of Ukrainian volunteer doctors who supported their Italian colleagues in the fight against Covid19 and who have now returned home. The project has been promoted and realized thanks to the collaboration between the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, the National Opera of Ukraine T. Shevchenko, the Italian Embassy, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Kiev.

The choristers of the Kyiv Opera, each from home, sang the famous song and the images, alternating with those of life in hospitals during the pandemic, were edited in a video (link). The dedication is “to all those who are risking their lives to save us” and to those who saved the lives of patients in hospitals in the cities of Pesaro and Urbino, where the Ukrainian medical team lent their work. The initiative is part of the project) #КультураНеЗупиняється (#LaCulturaNonSiFerma).
