Today the Ambassador of Italy to the United States, Mariangela Zappia, will be the keynote speaker at the event “The US-Italian defense relationship: A strategic and industrial partnership”, organised by the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security of the Atlantic Council of Washington DC.The event will begin at 11.15 a.m.(17:15 Italian time).
The report “A Winning Team: The US-Italian Defense-Industrial Partnership”, published by the Atlantic Council, will be published as part of the occasion.
Ambassador Zappia’s speech will be preceded by a greeting from General Curtis Scaparrotti, a member of the Board of the Atlantic Council and former Supreme Allied Commander Europe of the US Armed Forces, and by introductory remarks by the CEO of Leonardo SpA, Alessandro Profumo. A panel discussion with industry experts will follow.
