The new art exhibition “Triptych”, promoted by the Italian Embassy in Ghana and Togo, was inaugurated in Accra, in the presence of the Ghanaian Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, the Ghanaian Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nana Dokua Asiemah-Adjei, and members of the Parliament of Ghana.

Italian Ambassador Daniela d’Orlandi stressed that the painting and photography exhibition aimed at celebrating the friendship between Italy and the two African countries, through the works, for the first time brought together in Accra, of renowned local artists who have personal ties with Italy, such as the Togolese Jean Koumy and the Ghanaian Niiboijeosu, as well as the Italian amateur artists Andrea Ghia and Luca Beneventi, who have been living in Ghana for many years. The audience was able to discover the enchanted and poetic universe of Jean Koumy, the dreamlike and mysterious world of Niiboijeosu, and the different shades of Ghana through the brush and camera lens of Andrea Ghia and Luca Beneventi.

The event, which was attended by many representatives from the world of culture, the media, and local society, as well as Ghanaian authorities, entrepreneurs, and Heads of Mission, including the UNESCO Representative for Ghana, aimed to use art as a bridge between different peoples, in the hope of increasing cultural collaboration between Italy and Africa.
