The Italian Ambassador to Argentina, Fabrizio Lucentini, attended the press conference launching the 27th edition of the International Tourism Fair of Latin America (FIT), which will be held in Buenos Aires from 30 September to 3 October and will have Italy as its Guest Country.

Ambassador Lucentini announced that the Italian stand – covering an area of around 175 square metres – will be inaugurated by the Italian Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè, who will visit Buenos Aires especially for the occasion. The Ambassador also stressed the significance Italy attaches to the issue of tourism with its “Turismo delle radici” (Roots Tourism) project, that will hopefully strengthen tourist flows between Italy and Argentina, which are still far from pre-pandemic levels.

The press conference was attended, among others, by Argentina’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens, and the President of the FIT, Andrés Deyá. This year’s edition of the Fair will see a 9% increase in exhibitors compared to the 2019 edition, bringing together 24 Argentine provinces and 40 foreign countries.
