Energy and Africa – 22 Ambassadors in Terni Province

A visit to industrial sites in the province of Terni for the ambassadors of 22 countries of Sub-Saharan Africa has been organised by the Farnesina and Terni Province as part of the “Italy-Africa Initiative”. The aim of the initiative is to make Italy a favoured partner in applying a sustainable growth model in the African continent, a model that is both practicable and compatible with the needs of Africa’s countries.

The visit to Terni focused on factories working on recycling materials and on innovative products and energy production from renewable sources, in the “Energy and Environment” segment of the initiative. A key event in this framework will be the Energy Workshop hosted by the Farnesina on 13 and 14 October 2014. Participants will include leading Italian energy companies, officials from international organisations and representatives of Italy’s institutions and those of African countries.
