Cooperation: Sereni is in Dakar for the 9th World Water Forum and for bilateral meetings

Today in Dakar, Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni met with the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Sahel, Mahamat Saleh Annadif. The talks focused on security in the Sahel, on Mali, and on the United Nations’ collaboration in Italy’s development cooperation projects in West Africa. In the afternoon Sereni, who is in Senegal for the 9th World Water Forum and for a series of meetings and talks with political representatives of the African Country, visited the stand of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) dedicated to water. Here she also attended the presentation of the MIGRA (Migration, Employment, Youths, Resilience, Self-Employment) Project developed by the AICS Dakar with the aim of informing and integrating in employment opportunities youths, women and migrants returning to the border areas between Guinea-Bissu, Senegal and Guinea-Conakry and of bolstering local associations in taking charge of return migrants in situations of vulnerability.
