Press Release Detail

“The attack on a bus carrying Israeli tourists in Bulgaria fills me with dismay. It takes us back, dramatically, to the darkest years of terror”. Speaking was Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi, who continued: “Yet again, innocent victims are paying the price of a campaign of hate and destruction against Israel, conducted by people who know no other means than violence to assert their ideas”.

Terzi expressed “my deepest condolences to the victims’ families and to the Israeli and Bulgarian authorities”. He called for an international investigation to discover all those responsible. “Italy”, he concluded, “is and will continue to be in the front line in defending the fundamental right to security to which Israel and its citizens are entitled”.
