| Competences | The Directorate General for Human Resources, Budget and Innovation is responsible for the following tasks: a) ensures the planning and consistency of human and financial resources management; b) promotes organizational innovation and the simplification of regulations and administrative procedures; c) oversees the organization of central and overseas offices; d) prepares the budget and oversees the strategic allocation of financial resources; e) oversees the recruitment, management, and movement of personnel; f) promotes the implementation of equal opportunity personnel policies; g) oversees the payment of personnel compensation and provides travel and transportation reimbursements; h) determines personnel compensation abroad and benefits; i) oversees the development of proposals for legislative and regulatory measures concerning personnel and administration; l) handles personnel disputes and oversees disciplinary proceedings; m) oversees labor relations and supplementary collective bargaining; n) contributes to promoting the presence of Italian personnel in international organizations; o) provides training and professional development for Ministry of Foreign Affairs personnel, in collaboration with the National School of Administration, which supervises the preparation of candidates for diplomatic careers. |
