Commercial trade for USD 7.7 billion
The latest 2014 webinar offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s joint project with Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna entitled “Internationalisation just a click away” will take place on 9 December 2014 at 15:30. The webinar will examine the Canadian market and, in particular, opportunities in mechanics/automotive and agrifood sectors. Canada is a country with high incomes and robust consumption, with a solid macroeconomic base certified by its triple-A Standard&Poor’s rating. It is an important NAFTA port of access, with 462 million consumers. Its stable political system, job market conditions, production costs and access to credit make Canada an especially appealing place for Italian firms. Our traditionally solid bilateral relations have seen further strengthening in trade that peaked at USD 7.7 billion in 2013, with growth of over 12% compared with the previous year. Italy exports mainly machinery, beverages, food products and pharmaceuticals, while iit imports from Canada cereals, chemical wood pulp and machinery and combustible minerals
