Great Britain – EXPO and the hidden treasures of Italy’s regions

In the run-up to EXPO Milan, the Italian Embassy organised an event, “Expo e Territori”, at the Italian Cultural Institute in London, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom. Moderated by the president of the Chamber, Leonardo Simonelli Santi , the evening opened with a welcome address by the Italian Ambassador, Pasquale Terracciano. Speakers included representatives of Basilicata, Campania, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany regions, who illustrated some of Italy’s hidden treasures, including regional food and wine specialities. The aim was to broaden the scope of the EXPO experience.

The event was coordinated by the Prime Minister’s Office, with the help of the Department for Development and Economic Cohesion and support from Invitalia, Italy’s inward investment and business development agency. Read more, in Italian.
