The Italian Development Cooperation has launched a pilot-phase project within the framework of the project “Technical assistance for the rehabilitation and management for Iraqi Cultural Heritage”, aimed at the creation of a geo-referenced database and subsequent analysis of the status of the archaeological sites and monuments targeted and threated by ISIS. The project is being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Treasures and Activities and Tourism and UNESCO. Read more, in Italian
