Barcellona – On display Gabriele Sisti’s “Archivio quotidiano” photographic show

Imagination, creativity, the world of dreams, the subconscious: all this is inside Gabriele Sisti’s photography. “In this new one-man show, Gabriele Sisti decided to leave behind the world of traditional photography in order to explore new expressive possibilities through the juxtaposition technique, through which he combines two or more of his own images with those of other artists to create a new personal surreal narrative,” Diana Di Nuzzo wrote in a comment to the exhibition. Gabriele Sisti’s “Archivio quotidiano” photographic show will be held at the Italian Institute of Culture (IIC) in Barcelona (Ptge. Méndez Vigo, 5) from Feb. 11 to March 4. The show will be inaugurated at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The event is organised by the IIC and is co-produced by the platform protecting the rights of artists, Patamu.com. Sisti’s shots are made surreal through the juxtaposition of two or more images that the artist combines to create a personal narrative. The photomontages are realised starting from a “basic” image to which other pictures, called “annexes”, are added until the result aimed for is achieved.
