The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, will be on a diplomatic mission in Brussels and Zagreb today.
In Brussels, he will first attend the Summit of the European People’s Party (starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Académie Royale de Belgique), ahead of the European Council meeting, on the fringes of which Minister Alfano will have a series of institutional meetings, including one with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz. Still at the Académie Royale de Belgique, at 1:35 p.m., Minister Alfano will later see the Belgian Minister of Economy, Kris Peeters, in a bilateral meeting on the key points on the bilateral and European economic agenda.
From Brussels, the Foreign Minister will then travel to Zagreb, where he is scheduled to meet with his Croatian colleague Marija Pejčinović Burić at the Foreign Ministry at 5:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m. Minister Alfano will go to the Italian Embassy in Zagreb, where he will have a meeting with the Mayor of the Croatian capital, Milan Bandic, followed by a handshake with Hon. Furio Radin, the Vice President of the Croatian Parliament and representative of the native Italian local minority community.
