Italy, Japan and Pizza – The Italian Embassy and “Dissapore” united to celebrate Pizza

«The Italian Embassy in Tokyo, in partnership with Dissapore, have organised one of the most awaited events on programme for the Week of Italian Cuisine in Japan, at its third edition this year. The unquestioned star is pizza, as interpreted by Giuseppe Errichiello (Napoli Sta’ Ca’’), one of the most famous Neapolitan pizza-makers in Japan, » said Italian Ambassador Giorgio Starace, in commenting the event “Italy, Japan and Pizza”, which will put together almost 200 participants from the agri-food sector, media representatives and members of the local business community. To represent and Garage.Pizza, there will be Antonio Fucito (alias Tanzen Vs. Pizza), the historical editor of Netaddiction, a videogame expert and a long-time visitor of Japan.     

«Italian pizza» – Ambassador Starace went on – «is a dish that has rightfully entered Japan’s everyday life. Its simple ingredients, albeit distinctive of the Mediterranean diet, are very appreciated here and it is a priority for our economic diplomacy to maximise the promotion of this market, now more than ever, in view of the coming into effect of the Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Japan. We intend to promote the real Pizza resulting from our tradition, which is the most appreciated and loved worldwide. »
