Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City Host Workshops and Themed Dinners

This year’s program for the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City featured workshops, master classes and themed dinners.

In addition to eco-food tastings and conferences on the Mediterranean diet, Italian Cuisine Week was celebrated with art and music events. In Hanoi, in particular, a major festival called ‘Piazza Italia’ was organized in centrally-located Ly Thai To Square where thousands of people thronged the 14 food and wine stands. ‘Food strategist’ Stefania Corrado gave practical demonstrations during the festival.

As for the events organized in Ho Chi Min City, in addition to a lecture by caterer and entrepreneur Federico Pinzi on the compatibility of Italian and Vietnamese food cultures and the themed dinner on Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar, the master class organized in Nha Trang was a major success. Nha Trang is a coastal resort beloved by Chinese and Russian visitors, which aims to attract more sophisticated travelers from other countries. Like Nha Trang, other Vietnamese resorts wish to expand their food and wine offerings with promising opportunities for the Italian food and wine industry.
