Sparkle announces the expansion of its network in South Africa with the opening of two new Points of Presence (PoPs) in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Fully integrated with Sparkle Seabone‘s Tier-1 global IP backbone – which boasts extensive coverage in Africa – and the Equiano submarine cable connecting South Africa to Nigeria and Portugal, the new PoPs increase the ubiquity of Sparkle’s African network. With this expansion, Sparkle further enhances the connectivity solutions it offers on the continent by responding to the huge demand for data driven by new technologies, multimedia platforms and cloud-based services that require ubiquitous Internet connectivity.
