Minister for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini had an in-depth exchange of views on Syria, Libya, Egypt and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process today in a meeting at the foreign ministry in Rome with her counterpart from Qatar Khalid Bin Mohammed Al- Attiyah.
The two ministers also underscored the growing importance of bilateral relations between Italy and Qatar and a common interest in strengthening them, not least in terms of shared projects in third countries, and their hopes in the rapid realisation of the economic collaboration projects examined on the occasion of then-premier Enrico Letta’s recent mission to that country.
