Ministro Mogherini welcomes Federico Motka, taken in Syria and released yesterday

Italian national Federico Motka, abducted at Atmeh in Syria on 12 March 2013 and released yesterday near the Turkish border, arrived this morning at Rome’s Ciampino airport, where Minister for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini welcomed him.

The minister thanked all those involved in resolving the case, particuarly the Farnesina Crisis Unit and our security services, as well as the man’s family for the trust demonstrated toward the Italian institutions.
