The Farnesina continues to actively monitor the search for Daniele Buresta, Michela Caresani and Alberto Mastrogiuseppe, the three Italian citizens who went missing on a scuba trip on the island of Sangalaki, in Indonesia. Various naval vessels and rescue helicopters are employed in the search of a vast portion of the sea.

Our diplomatic official has been sent to the island to follow the operation directly and inform the embassy, relatives and other persons involved and offer the most effective assistance possible.
