Italians missing in Indonesia, Farnesina active to the maximum extent

The Farnesina continues to actively monitor the search for Daniele Buresta, Michela Caresani and Alberto Mastrogiuseppe, the three Italian citizens who went missing on a scuba trip on the island of Sangalaki, in Indonesia. Various naval vessels and rescue helicopters are employed in the search of a vast portion of the sea.

The Embassy of Italy in Jakarta is in continuous and close contact with the Indonesian authorities and the anxious families and friends of the persons concerned, who are being provided with constantly updated information. Our diplomatic official has been sent to the island to follow the operation directly and inform the embassy, relatives and other persons involved and offer the most effective assistance possible.
