Today Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni received at the Farnesina the President of the Federal Nation Council of the United Arab Emirates, Amal Al Qubaisi.
Minister Gentiloni expressed his full satisfaction for the “strategic partnership” nature assumed by the relations between Italy and the UAE and underscored the important role of Abu Dhabi as an essential interlocutor on the main regional issues and as a prominent partner in meeting global challenges, first and foremost the fight on terrorism. Italy confirmed its interest in tightening the cultural relations with the UAE, also in view of the future opening of the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi and the plan to build an Italian school there.
