Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives award at the PA Forum

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received an award today for its portal ‘Il Visto per l’Italia’ (http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it) [Visa for Italy], which was recognised as a particularly innovative project by the PA Forum in the online services, mobile services and electronic payments category. The portal was developed by the Visa Centre of the Directorate General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies, entirely in-house and at no cost to the exchequer.

“The portal ‘Il Visto per l’Italia’ has become a valuable tool for people applying for an entry visa to Italy” explained Minister Angelino Alfano. It provides quick and clear information for submitting a visa application correctly. The versatile portal has been accessed over two million times since it was launched less than a  year ago”, underlined the Minister. This award enhances and confirms the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an organisation strongly committed to serving citizens and businesses in a globalised world.
