Presentation at the Farnesina of the Report “China 2017. Corporate Scenarios and Perspectives”

“In 2016, trade between Italy and China exceeded 38 billion euros, with our exports worth over 11 billion euros, up 6% from the previous year. Italy is the third European destination for Chinese investments with 168 Chinese groups already investing in Italy, especially in partnership with Italian companies, employing 21,000 people and generating a turnover of more than 12 billion euros. These data are an accurate yardstick of how China has become a partner of primary importance for Italy.

I am happy about today’s presentation at the Farnesina of the new annual report by the Centre of Studies for Enterprises of the Italy-China Foundation: “China 2017. Corporate Scenarios and Perspectives”, the provisional report now at its 8th edition, containing surveys, risk analyses and short to medium-term forecasts for China,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, in view of this important event of economic diplomacy.
