BERN, 17 March. The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi and the Swiss State Secretary for Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Livia Leu signed an agreement today in Bern on the mutual recognition of test plates.
Following long negotiations, the agreement will allow vehicles – on which technical tests, demonstrations or transfers for the purpose of sale have to be carried out – to be driven on the roads.
The agreement will have a positive impact on people who live at the border as it will encourage trade between the numerous Italian and Swiss operators who work in the automobile sector, especially in border areas.
