I-ACT (Italy-IRENA Action for Climate Toolkit) is a training programme designed to enhance the knowledge and teaching capacity of young people engaged in energy transition, climate change, and sustainable development.

The project is the result of a collaboration between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). It has developed a Toolkit aimed at strengthening the skills of future leaders and equipping them with the means to share their acquired knowledge within their communities.

Building on the success of its first edition, which involved over 6,000 young participants, the programme consists of two phases: in the first phase, IRENA will select candidates from around the world to receive training using the Toolkit. In the second phase, the trained participants will disseminate their knowledge in their home countries through training events, organised with the support of the network of Italian embassies worldwide.
