Support is growing for the #Score Together Project promoting sport as an instrument of inclusion launched in Uganda by the Italian Embassy in Kampala together with the Trento-based NGO, ACV, thanks to the cooperation with the Office of the Ugandan Prime Minister, the Ugandan Olympic Committee, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the Sampdoria football club. The president of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, pledged his support to promote this initiative through the use of resources made available by the CONI and the IOC. The funding was greenlighted at the Sport Festival held in Trento that also scheduled a football match between the Under-15 teams of the Sampdoria football club and the SPRAR. ACAV Director Elisabetta Bozzarelli reaffirmed the aims of the project: to enhance social cohesion and foster conditions of normality for young people living in refugee camps and in the West Nile reception communities that host more than one million refugees from South Sudan and other neighbouring Countries.
