Relaunching the image of Italy in ‘phase 2’ and promoting new opportunities in the economic, scientific, and cultural fields. This is the objective of the program of initiatives developed by the Embassy of Italy in Israel in coordination with all the actors of the Italian System in the country, Ice (Italian Trade Agency), Enit, the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Defence.
“We have already remodelled – explained Ambassador Gianluigi Benedetti – some initiatives by offering online Italian language courses and some Italian films with subtitles in Hebrew. The initiatives had an enormous success. Thanks to remote access we have been able to reach a vast audience; we have therefore decided to organise webinars and virtual initiatives also in the economic and scientific sector”.
In the coming months, there will be presentations of Italian start-ups in virtual fairs in Italy and Israel (starting with Ecomotion on May 18), scientific seminars and a roadshow of Italian universities, as well as various cultural events and initiatives to promote virtual visits to Italian museums and tourist sites. A section deals with exports, with promotional campaigns for Made in Italy and initiatives to support certain consumer goods (agri-food and fashion) at Israeli points of sale.
“We also have plans for the second part of the year, hoping for a resumption of air connections – continued the ambassador. Real initiatives of great impact to relaunch the image of our country, an event on design, the traditional cooking week, an ‘Innovation Day’ and an initiative being defined between the Museum of Tel Aviv and Gnam. We intend to pay great attention – he concluded -to tourism, the flagship of relations between Italy and Israel. Together with Enit we are defining a campaign to relaunch Italy’s offer, which is always highly appreciated by the Israeli public”.
