The Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Francesco Azzarello, chaired an inter-institutional meeting with the various representative bodies of the Italian community, to discuss various issues such as preparing for the elections of the Comitês (Committees of Italians abroad) that will take place in December.
Azzarello highlighted the work carried out by the network of Consulates in favour of our compatriots, always considering the necessary precautions in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. The meeting was attended, among others, by Luigi Vignali, the Director General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Eugenio Sangregorio, the deputy of the South American Union of Italian Emigrants. For their part, the representatives of the Italian community in Brazil stressed the need to raise awareness among young people on the importance of representative bodies.
